Every so often we try to take a neophyte, a virgin angler, out for one of our trips. Barry Halpern, Geoff's brother, always wondered what we did on these trips. On Oct 21st we loaded him up, took off for Clemente in the evening, and ran to Pyramid Cove where we anchored for the night. In the morning we trolled around out there off the "head." I hooked a very large fish on a drop back bait. It came up jumping, charged the boat with its mouth wide open and the hook came flying back at us. Later we got bit again and put Barry on the fish. With a little help and encouragement we got that fish and Barry a nice picture for a souvenir.
