In the summer of 1976, I invited my brother, Alan, from St. Louis to
join us (Geoff and Marylee Halpern and
Bob and Jan Flamer) for a few
days of fishing at Rancho Buena Vista. On one of those days we were
headed at cruising speed through the so-called "tuna alley" just north
of the Ranch. We got bit on a 50 pd outfit and I brought in a very nice
tuna. Ultimately, it wound up on the wall of my office and following one
of our major earthquakes wound up on the floor.
Alan was able to bring
in a Marlin ("Lake of the Ozarks was never like this").
